New on the Bookshelf: New publications of the SJAC members

Congratulations to the SJAC member Ben Outhwaite, Head of the Cambridge Genizah Research Unit, on his appointment as Professor of Geniza Studies.

The 22nd International conference of the SJAC will takeplace in July 27-31, 2025.  As inprevious conferences held in Israel, the opening evening will take place at theBen-Zvi Institute in Jerusalem, from whence we will move to the venue of thepresent conference, at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheva. Wehope to see at the conference also those of you who are not scheduled to givelectures; if you intend to participate, we would appreciate it if you could letus know at this time. A questionnaire that will be sent to you in the near future willenable the organizers to complete the preparations, including the lectures’order, available hotels, travels etc. Questions, queries and updates relatingto the conference, should be addressed to Asher Bejamin asherben@bgu.ac.il. For renewing membership dues, please write to Haya Segal at theBen-Zvi Institute (mbz@org.il), or to our treasurer, Phil Liberman (phlieberman@alumni.princeton.edu ).
